DOVER, Del. (AP) - If you’re thinking of camping or getting a cabin or cottage at one of Delaware’s state parks this weekend, officials say you can forget about it.

State parks officials say every campsite, cabin and cottage statewide has been booked solid for the holiday weekend.

On the other hand, campers can go online now to make reservations for other popular holidays, including July 4, Labor Day and Halloween weekends, before bookings for those times are full.

Meanwhile, officials are expecting another busy year at Delaware’s state campgrounds after a record-setting 2015.

Officials recorded 86,200 camping nights last year, a 19 percent increase over 2014. Parks officials say the newly renovated North Inlet campground at Delaware Seashore State Park played a big role in the record-setting total of camping reservations.
