BINFORD, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say a 35-year-old Binford woman was killed when a sport utility vehicle rolled over near Binford.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the SUV was headed west on Highway 65 about 2:30 a.m. Saturday when it crossed the eastbound lane and entered the ditch. The driver overcorrected back onto the road and the vehicle landed in the north ditch, rolled over several times and struck a tree.

The driver, 34-year-old Matthew Bakke, of Binford, suffered injuries and was flown to a Fargo hospital. A woman who was a passenger died in the crash. The patrol hasn’t released her name.

The crash remains under investigation.
