NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say three suspects are in custody after masked gunmen held up a bank in North Myrtle Beach and led police on a high-speed chase in which they shot at police and other vehicles.

Local media outlets report three gunmen entered a South State Bank branch in North Myrtle Beach about 11 a.m. Wednesday demanding money.

City spokesman Pat Dowling says they fired shots into the ceiling but no one was injured.

A high-speed chase followed. Officers then searched a 200-acre area on the west side of town, telling residents to keep their doors locked.

All three suspects were in custody by 9 p.m. Wednesday.

There were no injuries although several cars were damaged by bullets.
