VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - Some areas of Virginia could see minor flooding as rain continues to fall across the state.

The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory for the Hampton Roads area until 3 a.m. Saturday.

Weather officials say low-lying coastal areas in cities like Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake could see minor flooding around high tide. Flooding could cause some road closures.

Officials say moderate to heavy rainfall Friday afternoon could also cause streams and rivers in other parts of Virginia to rise, resulting in flooding in some low-lying areas.
