NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Police in North Las Vegas say the occupants of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run are still at large.

Authorities say the collision happened just before 5:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of Cheyenne Avenue and Simmons Street.

According to investigators, a man driving south in a Dodge Dakota on Simmons was hit by a GMC Yukon heading west on Cheyenne.

Police believe the driver of the Yukon ran a red traffic light.

The impact of the collision threw the man from his Dodge.

The occupants of the Yukon fled the scene on foot.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will determine the victim’s identity and cause of death.

The investigation remains ongoing.
