MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A 54-year-old Minot business owner will serve 179 days in jail for stealing a fifth-wheel trailer in 2013.

The Minot Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1Tv30gh ) that Kenneth Earl Karlson changed his plea to guilty on the felony theft of property charge.

Prosecutors say Karlson and two unidentified men stole the fifth-wheel from Capital RV in Minot after it had closed.

Karlson was sentenced to five years in jail with all but the 179 days suspended. He is being allowed to serve the time at the Ward County Jail and is being granted immediate work release. Karlson had no significant prior criminal record.
