LANHAM, Md. (AP) - Prince George’s County police say they’ve charged a Lanham man with beating his father to death with a baseball bat.

Police announced in a statement Monday that officers were called to their home on Greenfield Drive in Lanham on Saturday night and found 64-year-old Kenneth Williams suffering from trauma to his body. Police say Williams was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police say Williams’ son, 42-year-old Montey Anthony, acknowledged assaulting his father with a bat during an argument. Anthony has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and assault.
