MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - The candidates vying for a U.S. Senate seat representing New Hampshire are facing each other for a final televised debate before Election Day.

Republican incumbent Kelly Ayotte and Democrat Maggie Hassan are debating each other Wednesday night on WMUR-TV.

Ayotte, who is seeing a second term, is in a tight race with Hassan, New Hampshire’s governor. The contest is one of half a dozen around the country that will determine which party controls the Senate.
