EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Officers in West Texas have arrested 11 bikers in the investigation of an August attack in El Paso in which a victim was beaten with bats and clubs.

An El Paso police statement says some of the suspects are known to law enforcement as being motorcycle gang members.

Seven men arrested Tuesday are charged with engaging in organized criminal activity-aggravated robbery. Officers confiscated rifles, military ordnance and items associated with making explosives during the raid of a home.

The suspects are from El Paso and Horizon City.

An El Paso police statement says four suspects were arrested shortly after the Aug. 3 attack that left a motorcycle club member hospitalized.

Those suspects were also charged with engaging in organized criminal activity-aggravated robbery. Police say the victim’s cellphone was stolen.
