CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A 19-year-old Casper man accused of raping and attempting to murder a girl has waived his preliminary hearing.

KTWO radio reports (http://bit.ly/2efuRFH ) that the case of Brandtly Bedsaul advances to Natrona District Court.

Bedsaul remains in custody on a $1 million cash bond.

He will enter a plea at his arraignment, which will be scheduled later.

According to the second amended criminal information document filed Wednesday, Bedsaul is charged with attempted murder by strangulation.

He also is charged with first-degree sexual assault, aggravated assault and aggravated child abuse.

Court records say the girl was one of several children attending a gathering on Sept. 28. Someone noticed she was missing, went outside and saw Bedsaul with his hands around the girl’s neck.
