CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A West Virginia school district ravaged by floods in June is receiving a $2.7 million federal grant for temporarily facilities to replace its damaged schools.

On Tuesday, Congressman Evan Jenkins announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency money for Nicholas County School District.

The June 23 floods killed 23 people and damaged homes, businesses, schools and infrastructure.
