HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Police in Huntington are investigating after a convenience store clerk shot an armed robber in the leg.

Dispatchers tell WSAZ-TV (http://bit.ly/2ejiER4) the incident happened early Tuesday morning at a 7-Eleven. Officials say a man pulled a gun on the clerk and demanded cash.

The suspect was able to steal an undisclosed amount of cash from the register drawer, but was shot in the leg by the clerk. The clerk wasn’t hurt.

Police are searching for the man and reviewing surveillance video to try and identify him. No other details have been released.
