YORBA LINDA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities in Orange County have arrested a 73-year-old man on suspicion of shooting and wounding a man walking on a trail near the Yorba Linda Reservoir.

Sheriff’s Lt. Mark Stichter says the victim was carried from the riverbed area Monday and airlifted to a hospital in unknown condition for treatment of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Stichter says deputies later arrested 73-year-old Jack Horn Jr. and investigators did not believe there were any more suspects at large. A handgun was recovered.

Horn could face charges including assault with a deadly weapon. It wasn’t immediately known if he has an attorney.
