CENTRAL

BASTROP: Water stained; 81-85 degrees. Black bass are fair on watermelon Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp, nightcrawlers, and punchbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON: Water stained; 80-84 degrees; 0.23 feet high. Black bass are good on chartreuse Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits early and late. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are fair on minnows and white Li’l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch and live shad.

BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 82-86 degrees; 1.21 feet low. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin Grande Bass soft plastics, and on crankbaits and topwaters early and late. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are very good on minnows, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps under lights at night. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles under lights at night in 5-18 feet. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are fair on live bait.

BUCHANAN: Water stained; 80-84 degrees; 0.03 feet low. Black bass are fair on silver flake Whacky Sticks on jigheads, and on chartreuse spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Striped bass are fair drifting live bait and jigging Spoiler Shads near the dam early. White bass are good on minnows and 2-inch plastic swim baits along the river channel in 20 feet. Crappie are fair on live minnows, and on pink and chartreuse Curb’s crappie jigs. Channel catfish are fair on shrimp and live bait upriver. Yellow and blue catfish are good on live bait upriver.

CANYON LAKE: Water stained; 81-85 degrees; 0.20 feet high. Black bass are fair on watermelon red Whacky Sticks, chartreuse crankbaits, and Texas rigged pumpkin Scoundrel worms. Striped bass are good trolling crankbaits around humps in the lower end of the lake. White bass are fair on minnows. Smallmouth bass are fair on white JDC grubs and pumpkinseed Curb’s jigs. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs upriver. Channel catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.

COLEMAN: Water stained; 82-86 degrees; 1.00 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel catfish are good on liver and minnows. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) No report available.

FAYETTE: Water murky. Black bass are good on watermelon crankbaits and Carolina rigged soft plastics. Channel and blue catfish are fair on liver and shrimp over baited holes.

GRANBURY: Water stained; 83-87 degrees; 0.13 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on white striper jigs. White bass are fair on white Li’l Fishies and minnows. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers, shrimp, and live bait.

GRANGER: Water stained; 82-86 degrees; 0.48 feet high. Black bass are slow. White bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps over shallow roadbeds and off points. Crappie are very good on minnows and watermelon tube jigs over brush piles. Blue catfish are good on prepared baits, and on juglines baited with shad. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch.

LBJ: Water stained; 81-85 degrees; 0.75 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse topwaters and watermelon wacky rigged green pumpkin Whacky Sticks early and late. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies at night. Crappie are fair on pink tube jigs and live minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on minnows and stinkbait. Yellow and blue catfish are fair to good on trotlines baited with perch.

NAVARRO MILLS: Water stained; 82-86 degrees; 0.06 feet high. Black bass are good on watermelon topwaters and shallow running crankbaits. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on shad and minnows. Yellow catfish are fair on perch.

PROCTOR: Water stained; 80-84 degrees; 0.96 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon topwaters and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies and minnows. STILLHOUSE HOLLOW: Water murky; 80-84 degrees; 0.66 feet high. Black bass are good on chartreuse/black soft plastic worms and white spinnerbaits. White bass are good on white Li’l Fishies and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water lightly stained; 78-81 degrees; 0.92 feet low. Black bass are good on topwaters, hollow body frogs and Texas rig worms on docks. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

BOB SANDLIN: Water lightly stained; 77-82 degrees; 1.00 feet low. Black bass are fair on topwaters, hollow body frogs, and buzzfrogs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are fair on punch bait and stink bait.

BONHAM: Water lightly stained; 77-81 degrees; 2.24 feet low. Black bass are good on topwaters, frogs, and buzzbaits. Jigs, shakyheads and Texas rig worms are effective under boat docks. Crappie are good on boat docks. Catfish are good on cut bait.

BRIDGEPORT: Water lightly stained, 77-81 degrees: 0.11 feet high. Black bass are good on Megabass S Crank 1.2 in sexy French pearl and white buzzbaits as well as Texas-rigged Zoom Speed Craws in sungill or green pumpkin with claws dipped in chartreuse. Crappie are good on minnows and. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.

CADDO: Water stained to muddy; 80-84 degrees; 0.50 feet high. Black bass are slow on weightless Senkos, black buzzbaits, shad pattern swim jigs and hollow body frogs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 76-80 degrees; 1.47 feet low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged worms, topwater walking baits and spinnerbaits near shallow cover. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. Crappie are fair on jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

COOPER: Water stained to muddy; 2.42 feet low. No report available.

FAIRFIELD: Black bass fishing reported as significantly improved. TPWD discontinued stocking the lake after the fish kill in September 2011. Redfish survived the kill in limited numbers.

FORK: Water lightly stained; 78-81 degrees; 1.93 feet low. Black bass are fair on squarebill crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Texas rigged worms. White and yellow bass are good on minnows. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

GRAPEVINE: Water lightly stained; 77-81 degrees; 0.03 feet low. Black bass are fair on white buzzbaits and Texas rigged craws in green pumpkin near shallow cover. White bass and hybrid bass are good on slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

LAKE O’ THE PINES: Water lightly stained; 78-82 degrees: 0.55 feet high. Black bass are good on buzz frogs, black buzzbaits, hollow body frogs and Texas rigged creature baits. White bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines and stink bait.

LAVON: Water stained; 79-82 degrees: 2.86 feet low. Black bass are fair on black buzzbaits, bladed jigs and Texas rigged craws. White bass are fair on slabs and topwaters. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and punch bait.

LEWISVILLE: Water lightly stained; 77-81 degrees; 0.60 feet low. Black bass are good on small plastic swimbaits, shallow crankbaits and topwaters. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are slow on trotlines.

MARTIN CREEK: Water lightly stained; 83-87 degrees; 1.48 feet low. Black bass are good on hollow body frogs, weightless Senkos and Texas rigged trick worms. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on minnows and topwaters. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: Water murky; 83-87 degrees; 18.11 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on large topwater jerkbaits. White bass are fair on crankbaits and minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on cheesebait over baited holes in 6-25 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines and throwlines baited with live perch. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG: Water murky. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are good on liver and shad near the pier. Redfish are good down rigging spoons near the dam. Channel catfish are fair on cut bait and cheesebait near the dam. Blue catfish are slow.

CALAVERAS: Water murky. Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps near the dam. Striped bass are slow. Redfish are good down rigging spoons near the dam in 15-25 feet. Channel and blue catfish are fair on liver and cheesebait near the railroad trestle. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON: Water stained; 82-86 degrees; 18.75 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse crankbaits and topwaters off points. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLETO CREEK: Water murky; 93 degrees at the hot water discharge, 84 degrees in main lake; 1.70 feet low. Black bass to 5 pounds are good on crankbaits and spinnerbaits in 8-10 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on live minnows and blue tube jigs near Coletoville Bridge in 8-12 feet. Tilapia are slow. Channel and blue catfish to 8 pounds are fair on live perch and cut bait in 8-12 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

FALCON: Water murky; 83-87 degrees; 30.23 feet low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

SOUTHEAST

CONROE: Water stained; 81-85 degrees; 0.25 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and shrimp.

GIBBONS CREEK: Water stained. Black bass are good on chartreuse soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Catfish are good on liver, shrimp, and nightcrawlers.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 77-81 degrees; 0.03 feet low. Black bass to 5 pounds are good on blue flake Power worms and clear watermelon seed flukes with chartreuse tails in 5 feet. Crappie are fair on live minnows near the pump station. Bream are fair on live worms off piers. Channel and blue catfish are good on juglines baited with perch.

LIVINGSTON: Water stained; 82-86 degrees; 0.21 feet high. Black bass are fair on soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Blue catfish are fair on shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: Water stained; 80-84 degrees; 1.99 feet low. Black bass are fair on tequila sunrise soft plastic worms and lizards, and on perch colored topwaters early. ALAN HENRY: Water clear main lake to stained up river; 76 degrees; 2.61 feet low. Black bass are slow to fair on small crankbaits, spoons, 7-inch and 10-inch Power Worms and watermelon red Baby Brush Hogs (throw a black buzzbait early and on cloudy days). Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on jug lines baited with gold-fish, perch and minnows.

ARROWHEAD: Water fairly clear; 85-89 degrees; 1.06 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on buzzbaits early, midday switching to squarebill crankbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are good on worms and stinkbait.

NASWORTHY: 84-89 degrees; 1.22 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on shallow running crankbaits, Texas rigs and jigs. No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

OAK CREEK: Water stained; 84-88 degrees; 10.5 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, drop shot rigs and jigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on chartreuse (use Worn-Glo) nightcrawlers.

O.H. IVIE: Water stained; 86-90 degrees; 35.14 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Zara Spooks early, midday switching to Carolina rigs, Texas rigs, drop shot rigs and jigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on live bait.

POSSUM KINGDOM: Water off color; 84-90 degrees; 0.24 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on DD22s, drop shot rigs, Texas rigs and Carolina rigs. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows. White bass are fair to good on Little Georges. Striped bass are fair on live shad. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cur bait.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good under the birds on soft plastics and good in the river on live shad. Redfish are good in the marsh on small topwaters and Stanley Ribbits and small SkitterWalks.

SOUTH SABINE: Bull redfish are good at the jetty on crabs. Sheepshead and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Trout are fair around the Reef on live shrimp and under birds on soft plastics.

BOLIVAR: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on soft plastics and plugs. Black drum and redfish are good at Rollover Pass.

TRINITY BAY: Trout are good for drifters working pods of shad and shrimp. Small trout are good under the birds. Redfish are good at the spillway on crabs and mullet. Trout are fair to good under birds throughout the bay.

TEXAS CITY: Gulf trout and sand trout are good on fresh shrimp around the dike. Bull redfish are good on the end of the dike on natural baits.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good under birds on the north shoreline. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp. Gulf trout have been caught in the channel on shrimp.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: Bull redfish are good on the beachfront on crabs, mullet and table shrimp. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs. Trout are good on deep shell on the lower end of the bay.

FREEPORT: Sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs. Bull redfish are good in Cold Pass and San Luis pass on cracked blue crabs. Redfish are good at the jetties on natural baits.

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair for drifters on live shrimp over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are fair to good in Lake Austin on live shrimp.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout and redfish are good in the surf. Redfish are fair to good in Oyster Lake on shrimp. Trout are fair on shell and grass on soft plastics.

PORT O’CONNOR: Trout and redfish are fair on topwaters over soft mud in San Antonio Bay. Trout and redfish are fair for drifters working the back lakes with live shrimp and topwaters. Redfish are good at the jetty.

ROCKPORT: Bull redfish are good in the Lydia Ann Channel on crabs. Trout are fair over grass while drifting with live shrimp. Redfish are fair to good on the Estes Flats on mullet and shrimp.

PORT ARANSAS: Bull redfish are good in the Shrimpboat Channel and at the jetty on crabs and finger mullet. Redfish are fair to good on the East Flats on topwaters and Gulps.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Redfish are fair to good around Shamrock Cove on small topwaters and gold spoons. Redfish are good in the Humble Channel on crabs and table shrimp. Black drum are good on the reefs.

BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair to good around the spoils on topwaters and soft plastics. Trout are fair to good in mud and grass on Corkies and topwaters. Redfish are good in the Land Cut on natural baits.

PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are fair to good on topwaters around sand and grass holes. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes and sight-casting to the shallows. Bull redfish are good at East Cut.

SOUTH PADRE: Trout and redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on DOA Shrimp and Gulps. Tarpon and redfish are good along the beach and at the jetty on live shad.

PORT ISABEL: Redfish are fair to good in Cullen Bay on Gulps. Trout and redfish are fair to good in South Bay on live shrimp. Trout are good over sand and grass humps on plastics under popping corks.
