PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police are beefing up patrols after a St. Joseph’s University student was robbed during a home invasion in her off-campus apartment.

Police say two men awoke the 21-year-old woman when they entered her apartment through an unlocked window in Philadelphia’s Overbrook section early Wednesday. One of the men had a gun.

The men bound the woman’s hands and taped her mouth before they debated whether to bring her with them. She managed to flee.

The men drove off in her car, taking her iPad, iPhone and wallet. The car was recovered later that day.
