STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - A 22-year-old Stanford graduate student has been accused of sexually assaulting his girlfriend on campus.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/2dA0utN ) that police said Thursday that the student was booked into San Jose Main Jail on suspicion of sexually assaulting the 28-year-old woman.

Stanford Department of Public Safety spokesman Dan Larson says the student was dating his victim at the time of the assault, which took place at a graduate residence hall on campus.

The victim was not a student.

Authorities have submitted the case to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office for review.
