MONTEPLIER, Vt. (AP) - A national political organization whose mission is to support Democratic candidates for governor has yet to launch a television ad backing Vermont gubernatorial nominee Sue Minter.

The Times Argus reports (http://bit.ly/2bDkjDo ) it has been three weeks since Minter’s victory in the primary election, but the Democratic Governors Association hasn’t crafted a commercial for the candidate despite pledging to support her.

Lt. Gov. Phil Scott, Minter’s competition, has so far benefited from two commercials aired by the Republican Governors Association.

Minter is entering the general election with less campaign funding than Scott. But the DGA has contributed $100,000 to its super PAC, which officials say will do “everything possible” to help Minter win.

A DGA spokesman says the group feels “really good” about Minter as a candidate.
