EASTON, Pa. (AP) - An eastern Pennsylvania high school field hockey team has ended a nearly four-year winless streak.

The (Easton) Express-Times (http://bit.ly/2djJM16 ) reports Wilson Area High School defeated Palisades 2-1 on Wednesday. The team scored two goals for the comeback victory after Palisades took a 1-0 lead.

First-year coach Scott Horton says, “Half the girls couldn’t fight back the tears” calling it an “absolute, total celebration.”

The team’s last win was on Oct. 9, 2012. That was also a 2-1 victory, over Salisbury High School. Palisades beat Wilson Area 17-0 two seasons ago.
