Phoenix police say a person who barricaded himself alone in a room at a DeVry University campus in Phoenix is in custody.

Sgt. Vince Lewis says officers will evaluate what charges police may recommend to prosecutors in connection with the Tuesday morning incident in which the person was described as having a knife.

No additional information was released on how the barricade situation ended but Lewis previously said the person is a non-student who walked onto the campus and asked for an ambulance for some reason.

Lewis said the person was directed to go into one room but went into a different one where he barricaded himself.

According to Lewis, there was no injury or threat and that police have spoken with the person through the door.

He said classes at the campus were canceled for the day and evening.
