Summer isn’t over until Myrtle Beach says so. Accordingly, the beachfront city in South Carolina will begin its “60 More Days of Summer” campaign Sept. 1 as a way to continue to attract beachgoers and vacationers past the traditional Labor Day marking of the end of the season.

Running through October, “60 More Days” focuses on opportunities for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation along the “Grand Strand’s” 60 miles of beaches. Wellness and adventure retreats will be on offer, from rope courses and surfing to inland kayaking, spa services and nature hikes.

Complementary beach yoga and meditation “zones” are also meant to foster a sense of peace and wellness throughout the community.

“The Myrtle Beach area has long offered robust wellness experiences that appeal to the adventurous and health-focused traveler,” Scott Schult, executive vice president of marketing at Visit Myrtle Beach, said in a statement. “What our 60 More Days of Summer campaign does is simply shine a light on this offering while creating a reason to travel right now: undeniable affordability combined with the appeal of the fall season, with its summer-like temperatures, warm ocean waters and more peaceful ambiance.”

Among the wellness packages offered by Myrtle Beach properties are $200 with a minimum two-night stay at the recently renovated Marriott at Grande Dunes and a facial massage and 60-minute full-body massage with a two-night minimum stay at Marina Inn at Grande Dunes.
