SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - The Latest on a freeway crash in Scottsdale (all times local):

11:35 a.m.

The northbound Loop 101 freeway in Scottsdale has reopened after an eight-vehicle crash involving a concrete truck.

Southbound lanes were unaffected by the closure that occurred during the Friday morning commute.

The concrete truck rolled on its side, spilling several yards of concrete onto the highway.

The Department of Public Safety says two injured people were transported to hospitals.

9:15 a.m.

A collision involving a concrete truck and seven other vehicles closed a Scottsdale freeway during the Friday morning commute, causing a huge traffic backup.

The state Department of Transportation says there’s no immediate word when the northbound Loop 101 will be reopened at McDonald Drive and that drivers should consider alternate routes.

The Department of Public Safety says the concrete truck rolled on its side, spilling several yards of concrete onto the highway.

The DPS says two injured people were transported to hospitals.

Southbound lanes remain open.

8:45 a.m.

A multi-vehicle accident involving a concrete truck has closed a Scottsdale freeway during the Friday morning commute.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says all lanes of the northbound Loop 101 are blocked.

There’s no immediate word on possible injuries.

News video shows the concrete truck overturned on the freeway with damaged passenger vehicles nearby.
