OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - A coroner says a fourth child has died after being injured in a house fire in Opelika earlier this month.

Lee County Coroner Bill Harris says 3-year-old Bryson Core died from complications of his injuries Friday night in a hospital in Birmingham.

The boy was hurt in a blaze that engulfed a house in Opelika on Jan. 12. Three young sisters died in the fire, and two other children were taken to a hospital by helicopter for treatment.

A 9-year-old girl remains hospitalized.
