HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - One man is dead and the hunt is on for a suspect after a late night shooting in Hartford.

Police say 30-year-old Darren Crittenden was found unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside on Ashley Street at about 10 p.m. Monday.

He was taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Deputy Chief Brian Foley says investigators found several shell casings at the scene.

There was no immediate word on arrests but Foley says police have some strong leads.

The shooting was the city’s fourth homicide of the year.
