SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard says it’s investigating what led the propeller of one of its twin-engine planes to clip a runway at San Francisco International Airport as the aircraft prepared to take off. There were no injuries.

Coast Guard officials say the plane involved in Tuesday’s incident was a Sacramento-based C-27 plane that was on a logistics flight.

Officials say that the four-member crew aborted the flight after one of the plane’s propellers made contact with the runway.

They say the plane will be moved to the Coast Guard’s air station at SFO so crews can inspect the damage and determine what led to the plane’s failure.
