RIVERDALE, Ga. (AP) - A Georgia woman faces charges after police say she abducted her 14-month-old twins, one of whom is medically fragile.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Dekalb County police Lt. Lonzy Robertson says 23-year-old Ka’Miyah Cherelle Wilson was found Tuesday with the twins at a Lithonia apartment. Clayton County police say Wilson took the children from a Riverdale apartment Saturday.

Clayton County police Sgt. Ashanti Marbury says one child requires oxygen and a feeding tube. Madbury says Wilson discontinued feeding the child his prescribed formula via the feeding tube and instead fed him a “smoothie concoction” using a syringe, resulting in significant weight loss.

Roberston says the children are fine but were transported by emergency responders as a precaution.

Wilson is charged with first-degree child cruelty. It’s unclear if she has a lawyer.
