ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Last Wednesday I heard multiple radio commercials from the AARP hysterically attacking the Senate’s health-care bill and urging West Virginia voters to call Sen. Shelley Moore Capito and pressure her to oppose the bill. This morning, as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was still on the floor of the Senate making his very first public statements about the bill, many mainstream-media outlets were publicizing a poll in which large numbers of Americans oppose the bill.

How the mainstream media and AARP managed to get those things done before the bill was ever made available to even most members of the Senate is indeed a miracle for the ages. One need not be a trained investigator to observe that both of those moves were intentionally misleading and their content false. The mainstream media and its allies — such as the AARP — have again shown so clearly why nearly no one in America trusts anything they say. Obviously, both were intentionally lying to negatively impact passage of the Senate bill. And the Democrats, who are attached at the hip with the mainstream media, still cannot understand why they continue losing elections and will do so well into the future.
