it would be nice if at least part of the population was capable of reading and writing english and if they could count past ten (10) that would be nice to. the leftists already have plenty of drones.

Government schools are a major source of socialist propaganda and the never ending socialist brain washing of students from kindergarten to graduate college level. Government schools are remarkably good at socialist brain washing and remarkably deficient in teaching our nation’s children the fundamental requirements for a good life, i.e reading, writing and arithmetic. Parents should have the right to select the school that excels in teaching the fundamentals, which ignores the socialist propaganda and brainwashing crap.

It appears our black population voted for hope and change and look what they got--a black president who could care less about black kids getting a decent education. He's more worried about the teachers union than he is the kids.

They should extend the voucher program, but they won't. The Democraps are only for choice when it involves killing a child, for everything else, they are the modern face of tyrany.

Yes. But if you want to continue the dumbing down process get rid of all private schools. Outlaw home education too. Does obbamma children go to a private school? Close that school!

March 13, 2009 The O is for Overrated By Richard Baehr http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/03/the_o_is_for_overrated.html Conservatives, and anybody else who seeks the truth, should read this piece before the trolls wake up around 1100am and start their days work. You will be able to perceive how wrong they are!

Obama will say he is in favor of the program. Actually he will, as usual, play both sides. Whatever he or his teleprompter thinks will keep his coolaid cool. But we must keep fighting the agendacaters on the left. Sarumon is building his army.

If the government outlaws vouchers, schools will better be able to control what is taught to our children - more leftist tripe as long as they are in power. Government money to teacher's unions will allow the government to control what the teachers teach. It is shameful that vouchers must be necessary in order for our children to get a decent education in a country that has always been a world leader in education.

Yes, of course! The only way the public schools will improve the quality of the education they provide is to show them there is competition in the market place. Karl in Phoenix

School vouchers are the only methodolgy that will get public schools under control. A large percentage of teachers are simply enjoying the protection of the union, rather than providing a good quality education. At least that is the norm within the Houston School district. I suspect the same out of control teacher led anti-conservatism attitude is a nation wide problem. Vouchers is an outlet, as well as home schooling for our children. The loose libs want choice, then let's enjoy choice in our education policies. Of course, the bozO-n-chief in D.C. is so pro-union, he will not allow choice as a nation wide policy in education. UNOHOMBRE: Yes my FLAG IS UPSIDE DOWN and will remain so until democracy is restored across this land we call, so proudly call, America. As for as burning the flag as you recommended, I do that each year when the flag is replaced with a new one. BUT, freedom is going down hill quickly here in America and we are in DISTRESS. As for as your comments on fighting men of the country, my family consist of a long line of veterans, veterans of four different branches of the military, and of all wars and battles since/beginning with WWII. I personally am a two tour Vietnam Veteran and damn proud of it. Moreover, my son is a marine with the highest level of top secret clearance. I know what I am doing as I display my flag as a country in distress. UNOHOMBRE, if you cared about the direction this country is headed:anti-republic, anti-freedom, anti-gun; pro-socialist, pro-marxist, pro-anything but freedom, you too, and everyone else would be standing up against the policies of the extreme left.

Being well past the age of retirement, I really don't have any dogs in this chase. All I can add is the fact that any Conservative could have told everyone BEFORE the elections that Obama could care less about the Blacks... As with all liberals, the Blacks were useful at the election booths only!

It is starting to get irritating to me that people think we live in a Democracy. We live in a Republic. The word Democracy does not appear in any of the founding documents and it is explained in Fed. #10 why we are not a Democracy. Democracy is mob rule, they eat themselves and then become Oligarchies. Why do politicians and talking heads keep using the word democracy when they speak of this country? Think about it. Thank You.

Vouchers and school choice are a Conservative,Republican desire. No chance Nancy,Harry or BO will approve that. At least Nancy and Harry tell me my ideas suck and not too expect any help. The Rino's in the room along w/ the D and Libs are still listening to the Liar in Chief.
