no he should not have. but then he's a liar. he started lying when he set up McCain on taking only gov. funds for
campaigning. (when asked, if he would take only matching funds he said yes and as soon as McCain had committed to
those funds the messiah withdrew.)and he
hasn't stopped since then. so when he railed against gov. waste and earmarks, i knew he would sign this payoff bill.

Did the Boy King sign it in crayon?

Our NPD afflicted POTUS is so foolish he believes that we can dig our nation out of debt by borrowing more money. An economic 101 class for him would have been a good start. His law degree serves no useful purpose, we have a glut of lawyers, what we needed was Mitt Romney.

No, he should not have signed this bill. A man of principle would not have. Obama campaigned on the stance of cutting out earmarks. This bill has more than 9,000 of them. Granted, some are probably good, most are likely not. The principle of the matter states that he should at least line item veto most of the earmarks and get rid of them before he signs the bill. Instead, he signs it with all earmarks intact and then comments that he will ignore some aspects of the bill. What a load of.........pork.

This person, thing or whatever the hell you want to call him is nothing more than an out right liar.
This Anti American Muslim President wasn't even man enough to sign this wasteful bill in front of the public and media. He also refuses to answer any questions.
The people of this country better wake up. 2010 is the year that will decide if this country is populated with a bunch of morons, who want Socialism to succeed or Patriots who want to take back America and rid our country of these traitors.
Keep your eyes on the Republicans because a few of them have and are in cahoots with the Socialist Demokrats and Barack Hussein Obama. They are no better than the treasonous bunch running this circus now.
Welcome to the United Socialist States of Amerika.

I would expect nothing less than for the Obamination to sign every DemoSocialist spending bill that comes comes to him. He will sign any bill that spends the Republic's money. Those of us who work will be taxed to pay for the stupidity of the Obamination's supporters and, of course, their mortgages. Where is my bailout? Will I get a refund for the 11% mortgage note I took when I bought my house? Will I get a refund because I was required to put 10% down on the same house? When Pigs with Big Ears Fly!
The Obamination and his Administration of Tax Cheats and Questionable Morals should resign now! If they continue with their policies the coming confligration will make the U.S. Civil War look like a walk in the park.

Obama and the Liberal Freeloader Culture
By Christopher Chantrill
Excerpts FTA:
Our liberal friends tell the world that conservatism is a reactionary movement. It is not. It is a movement of gentle reform that is trying create a new world of ordered freedom that escapes from the rigid status society once run by a warrior aristocracy and and now dominated by a liberal oligarchy.
Today the liberal oligarchy is in the ascendant. Perhaps it will succeed in ratcheting up the level of compulsion in health care and in education.
But let us hope for better things. Let us hope that the American people will revolt against the further expansion of the liberal freeloader culture.
But our fellow Americans won't have a chance without a broad conservative movement willing to risk life, fortune, and sacred honor in the cause to persuade them with the truth.

Of course not; Obama should not have signed the "spending" bill.
However, Obama has never found a "spending bill" he didn't like. As long as the money is taxpayer money, Obama is very generous with spending it in his ECONOMIC WAR AGAINST AMERICA.
What is going to happen to our country when it is finally found that all of the spending bills were signed by a man who is ILLEGALLY in the POTUS office?
All treaties and laws signed will be void, all international agreements will be void, all political appointments will be void.
This is the Constitutional Crisis we soon face.
Put the military on the border; keep American dollars in America.

The parental involvement I am talking about starts in Kindergarden. No one expects your parents to be holding your hand or helping you with your course work by the time you reach college, but if they don't do that during the elementary and middle years, the kids flounder. Even my high school sophmore needs reminding to get her homework done. I don't do the work for her but she knows I am there to help if she needs it. I just got back home from her school choral concert. Parental involvement includes supporting them in their acedemics as well as their extracurricular activities. But while I have one child in public school, I also homeschool my son who has AD/HD. I am also a part-time substitute for the elementary and middle school levels.
Needless to say, I am a very involved parent and my children are A/B students in advanced courses.

thank you for your input yesterday. You understood exactly where I was coming from. I had many study sessions with both parents as did my 22 year old sister who just graduated from college. We need more parents to get involved in the PTA and attend their child's extra curricular activity. The support does wonders for the child years down the road. I know I ran my parents crazy running around DC for dance and flute lessons and volley ball practice etc...
Now for todays question, I put NO because Obama should start out with his own Gov't spending bill and not one that is a carry over from October 2008. He should have vetoed the bill and make congress start from scratch. However, I do applaud him for adding the cost of both wars. Strange how the cost for those wars was mysteriously left out under the last administration.

Be honest now and I know that's hard for a Socialist to do but, are you saying that you agree that we should spend trillions of borrowed dollars on tattoo removals, pig stench, canoeing in Hawaii, a museum in Las Vegas, a mouse in the SF Bay area, government takeover of the banks, Federalize our Education system, no smoking in bars, restaurants, cars, your home and outside?
Do you believe that the government should tell you how much income you can earn? Do believe that the government should be able to confiscate at least half of your income? Do you believe that we should all pay a higher tax for basic necessities such as electricity, oil, gas, wind and solar?
doug12342, do you believe that the government has the right to silence you if you disagree with them? Do you believe in open borders? Do you agree that an illegal alien has the same right to a job as you do, even if that job is the same one that you're applying for? Do you believe that we should all help out and pay our neighbors mortgage for them? Do you believe that your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren should be strapped with an unpayable debt for the rest of their lives? Could you look them in the eyes and tell them that?
C'mon doug12342, be honest, tell us what you really believe in.

Of course he should have signed it. It is the only thing he's done so far to be consistent with his drive to take our country to third world nation status.
We (not I) Americans voted for the clown. He was clear during his campaign about where he wants to take our country. Every politician uses the sickening, stupid over used term "move forward;" however, Hussein in saying "move forward" actually means backward to third world nation status so as to win the love and affection of other socialist countries of the EU.
Yes, Americans want Obama the Hussein and they have him. The Chicago machine will keep him on track. with his Ghetto Economics - borrow, borrow, and yes, borrow some more.

Obama made the right choice. Under the Constitution, he could either sign or veto the entire package. He can't use a line item veto to remove specific pending he doesn't like. This was the left-over budget from President Bush, not the budget proposed by Obama himself. He can jawbone the issues before they are passed by Congress but is restricted to a yes or no on the whole package when it gets to his desk.
Vetoing the bill now and sending it back would mean that Congress would be spending precious time on revising last year's budget instead of working on this year's budget and other current issues.
The big 'pork' that everyone here talks about is only 1% of the entire budget. Not worth shutting down the processes of government about this time.
