Yesterday at MCI Center:

11 Maryland and George Washington players who scored in double figures.

QUOTABLE

“We went blow for blow. It was a 12-round fight and [George Washington] won.”

— Terps forward Nik Caner-Medley

SEEN AND HEARD

GW fans chanted “Steve Blake” whenever Maryland guard John Gilchrist had the ball. Ironically, Blake sat just a few feet from the Colonials band and drew a large ovation from Terps fans when he was shown on the Jumbotron. Former Terps guard Juan Dixon wasn’t far away, either. Both former Terps play for the Wizards. … Jet Blue might want to rethink its sponsorship of two free tickets to a fan who can make five shots in 45 seconds. Three of four contestants won during the two-day tournament. … Look out — seven loose balls went into the crowd during the George Mason-Michigan State game.
