NO-SHOWS: Coach Gary Williams worried about playing in front of empty seats because the game was sandwiched between “celebrity” games against Duke and North Carolina. Sure enough, a number of fans were absent ” surprising because the Terps were trying to close in on their 12th straight NCAA tournament bid.

IT ADDS UP: The Terps entered the game ranked No.25 nationally in the RPI ratings, fourth-best among ACC teams. Maryland has won five games against teams ranked in the RPI top 60.
