HURT: Voting Rights Act represents abomination of justice

Like so many monstrosities of injustice and unfairness — especially if the federal government is involved — the Voting Rights Act began with the best of intentions. HURT: Smart enough to know stupid doesn't work for GOP

It is time Republicans declare war on stupid. This love affair with dumb increasingly causes the party problems. Just enough problems, in fact, for Harry Reid to still be in control of the U.S. Senate. Published June 11, 2013

HURT: Newtown as political tool against guns

HURT: Communing with hatemongers from the pulpit

President Obama sure is serpent-bit when it comes to going to church. First, it was his longtime Chicago preacher who dragged the young presidential aspirant into hot water with all his fiery old sermons about the U.S. of KKK and chickens coming home to roost. Now, his most regular preacher, we find out, hangs out with white supremacists. Published April 2, 2013
