    A night after Carl Crawford enjoyed a steak dinner with the New York Yankees, he served up a meaty surprise: He's going to play for the rival Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox struck again at these winter meetings, reaching agreement late Wednesday with the star left fielder on a $142 million, seven-year contract.

    Konerko gets $37.5M, 3-year contract with WSox

    Paul Konerko was vacationing in Mexico last week, sitting on a chair looking at the ocean, when he received a text message that Adam Dunn had agreed to a deal with the Chicago White Sox.

    Jayson Werth and the Washington Nationals got an early jump on baseball's winter meetings. The Boston Red Sox were busy, too, completing their trade for Adrian Gonzalez.
