LOUISVILLE, KY. | Bodemeister is headed to the Preakness to challenge I'll Have Another after their memorable finish in the Kentucky Derby.
Michael Matz is back at the Kentucky Derby with a strong contender for the first time since he won in 2006 with Barbaro, whose bronze likeness now greets all visitors to Churchill Downs.
There will be no rematch between Animal Kingdom and Nehro at the Preakness.
"Think about this, Bob keeps reminding me, three weeks before that [race] we didn't have a horse in the Derby," Zayat said.
"He looks fantastic," Zayat said.
