All this off-field contentiousness is getting a little tiresome, if you ask me. How about channeling some of that aggression into football, where it belongs? Or does the NFL Network count on it for programming?

Former Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell has died. He was 87.
Patricia Modell, the wife of former NFL team owner Art Modell and a longtime television actress, has died. She was 80.
Modell pointed out that Cleveland ultimately got the new stadium he coveted, and that the expansion version of the Browns could draw on the history he helped create.
"This has been a very, very tough road for my family and me," Modell said at the time of the Browns move. "I leave my heart and part of my soul in Cleveland. But frankly, it came down to a simple proposition: I had no choice."
