Need to Know: The Redskins are setting a variety of new statistical lows, including their worst record after 13 games since Bill Clinton's first term.
Former President Bill Clinton, who prodded President Obama last month to keep his promises on Obamacare, said Tuesday that the political damage for Democrats from the flawed law will be "minimal."
Promotion of democracy is widely known to have become one of the main instruments of U.S. foreign policy. On closer examination of this policy, certain fairly awkward questions arise, such as, does this policy serve America well? Is it really good for the countries on the receiving end?
The photo that accompanied "Obama, Clinton hide tension behind smiles at medal ceremony" (Web, Nov. 21) is far more humorous than serious. It shows two men who really dislike each other, trying to look friendly for a group of attendees who would rather eat green flies than be in their presence. I don't think I could do that. President Obama's praising of former President Bill Clinton for all the good that he does is enough to gag a maggot. Mr. Clinton is doing penance, pure and simple, and will for the rest of his days for his egregious lifestyle.
The U.S. ambassador in Afghanistan is prodding President Hamid Karzai to sign an agreement to allow U.S. troops to remain in the nation after 2014.
Attention shoppers: The Grand Old Party has a message for you. The National Republican Senatorial Committee is intent on grabbing the attention of Black Friday bargain hunters in Louisiana, Michigan, Alaska, Iowa and Georgia — all home to Democrats who are now vulnerable for re-election in 2014 because of their fierce endorsement of Obamacare.
I was hoping that Washington Times reporter Ben Wolfgang would have mentioned the incredible Alfred E. Neuman-caliber strangeness of former President Bill Clinton receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Nobel Peace Prize recipient Barack Obama ("Obama, Clinton hide tension behind smiles at medal ceremony," Web, Nov. 20). President Obama will probably also receive the Medal of Freedom someday, for his tireless efforts to impose the sadly laughable and illegal Obamacare, unwanted by the majority of Americans, upon his fellow citizens.
The dream meeting between President Obama and the glittering kingpins of Hollywood on Tuesday has been billed as "the entertainment summit." It's more like the star-studded finale to a fundraising extravaganza, with the word "Obamacare" stricken from the script. It will mark the seventh moneymaking event in a mere 48 hours for the seemingly tireless president.
Now, President Obama can nominate the Three Stooges to the federal bench if he wants, and get away with it.
