The folks who brought magic to the new "Pippin" in Massachusetts are coming south to Broadway.
There's magic to do on Broadway _ "Pippin" is coming back.
"Everything has its season, everything has its time," goes a famous song from the musical "Pippin." Well, maybe, but for the many fans of that `70s Stephen Schwartz hit, a return to Broadway has been overdue for years.
It took a stray bit of dirt to scratch the perfection of "Cabaret," and painstaking effort to return it to cinematic glory.
"Cabaret" stars Liza Minnelli, Joel Grey and Michael York are on hand for a screening of the restored 1972 film at the TCM Classic Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Beyonce isn't known for her subtlety. She approaches her music with the nuanced attack of a sledgehammer, singing with a throaty, supersized voice and morphing into her alter ego, Sasha Fierce, whenever her ambitions get too big for one persona. Who cares if she stands 5 feet 6 inches? The girl is larger than life.
A new version of Bob Fosse's (FAW'-seez) "Dancin'," a play by Stephen Karam and a revival of "Look Back in Anger" are on their way from the Roundabout Theatre Company.
