Home day care providers would be forced into unions
A federal appeals court ruled Friday that Texas cannot ban Planned Parenthood from receiving state funds, at least until a lower court has a chance to hear formal arguments.
Rick Perry is taking a beating in the latest presidential primary polls. Rasmussen Reports on Thursday released a survey placing businessman Herman Cain at the head of the pack and the Lone Star State governor in sixth place. If there was ever a time for Mr. Perry to make a bold policy proposal, it's now. He's about to do just that.
"Adding more people to an already sinking ship with money that is either being borrowed from China or coming out of taxpayers' pockets is bad policy and bad for Texans," said Catherine Frazier, spokeswoman for Gov. Rick Perry.
"Today's developments do not change our concerted effort in coordination with Attorney General Abbott to defend the will of Texans and our state law, which prohibits taxpayer funds from supporting abortion providers and affiliates in the Women's Health Program," Frazier said.
