    Mourinho to contest charge of improper conduct

    United agrees deal with Chelsea to sign Mata

    Juan Mata is on the brink of becoming the most expensive player in Manchester United's history after the Premier League champions announced Friday they have reached an agreement with Chelsea over the transfer of the Spain midfielder.

    Benfica sells Matic to Chelsea for $34 million

    Three years after being sold by Chelsea as a cheap makeweight in a transfer, Serbia midfielder Nemanja Matic made his return to the Premier League club for a fee of 25 million euros ($34 million) on Wednesday in what could be one of the biggest deals of the January window.
