Prince William County, which not long ago was considered a rural community, has joined the ranks of the 10 wealthiest counties in the United States.
Some Maryland and Virginia counties surrounding Washington are listed among the wealthiest in the nation, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's latest figures for median household income, issued in 2005.
