Court records show retired NHL player Darren McCarty and his wife got personal protection orders against four former friends in suburban Detroit.
Detroit Red Wing opponents knew better than to mess with Steve Yzerman. Take a cheap shot at him _ or any of the other Wings, for that matter _ and you'd have to answer to Bob Probert and, in later years, Darren McCarty.
He says harassment has included death threats.
McCarty told the newspaper he wants to be left alone.
