Weather officials said the low temperatures that produced some snow across the region Monday set up a threat to roadways Tuesday morning in the form of black ice.
For coaching, the Kansas Jayhawks have Turner Gill. For inspiration, Gill and everyone else connected with the program has D.J. Marshall, a living example of courage and grace in the face of danger.
"The object of the game is to hit the other guy as hard as you can," Marshall said. "You're not just trying to knock him down. You want to knock the ball loose."
"The drills we grew up with, all those high-speed, head-on collisions, are not allowed the Pop Warner level anymore," said Dr. David Marshall, director of sports medicine at Children's Heathcare of Atlanta.
