A boxy vehicle that evokes images of suburbia will soon define the iconic yellow cabs New York City over the next decade and beyond, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said Tuesday as he announced that a Nissan minivan being built in Mexico will become the city's taxi of choice.
The driver should be able to accept a ride with a single touch after receiving a passenger signal, Yassky said.
"We should not ignore technology that's out there. This is not speculative, this is real," Commissioner David Yassky said.
