Home day care providers would be forced into unions
NBC's windfall on the Olympics is turning into a downfall for other TV networks.

A Wisconsin couple who appeared on the CBS reality-TV show "The Amazing Race" outlasted 10 other couples to claim top honors and a $1 million grand prize.


In the boardroom, it's as if the Great Recession never happened. CEOs at the nation's largest companies were paid better last year than they were in 2007, when the economy was booming, the stock market set a record high and unemployment was roughly half what it is today.

Discovery Communications Inc. is launching a television network for rich guys and their toys.
Discovery CEO David Zaslav said Tuesday that the strength of the Olympics was one of the "hurdles" to overcome for its channels such as Discovery and TLC in the third quarter.
On his company's first-quarter earnings conference call Tuesday, he said Discovery expects funding to OWN in 2012 to come in below that of 2011.
