    NFL replacement referees are in over their heads

    Preseason game delivers 1-2 punch with RG3, Andrew Luck

    Robert Griffin III wants you to understand, despite the $35 commemorative T-shirt the Washington Redskins are selling and despite the national telecast, it's not Andrew Luck against him Saturday afternoon. He will play against the Indianapolis Colts' defense in his home debut, and he'll be on the sideline when Luck faces the Redskins' defense.

    Redskins’ Griffin, Garcon develop a bond

    Robert Griffin III and Pierre Garcon were done playing in last Thursday’s preseason game, but their work day was not finished. While their Washington Redskins teammates competed against the Buffalo Bills on the scoreboard and against each other for roster spots, Griffin and Garcon reviewed the 14 plays the first-string offense ran.

    Redskins' secondary of 'misfits' putting the pieces together

    Continuity has been the theme for the Washington Redskins on defense. Barring injury, they should have the same defensive line and linebackers as they did at the end of last season, and coordinator Jim Haslett's 3-4 scheme remains in tact.

    Captain's role magnifies mistakes made by CB Hall

    Cornerback DeAngelo Hall is one of the Washington Redskins' captains. Twice during Sundays loss to New England, however, Hall failed to meet the standard of leadership that accompanies that distinction, according to coach Mike Shanahan.
