The lack of a gay-themed, Jewish children's book has finally been remedied with "The Purim Superhero," a story of a young boy whose dilemma over which Purim costume to pick is solved with the help of his two dads.
Israeli director Rama Burshtein provides an intimate look inside the private world of Tel Aviv's Hasidic community in the film `'Fill the Void," which premiered this weekend in competition at the Venice Film Festival.

Purim has been summed up in this way: They tried to kill us, we won, so let's eat!
“Sadly, the socialist movement had more attendees [at the 'One Nation' rally] than the LGBT community. They brought a huge group of folks while there were small groups from GetEqual, HRC, Stonewall Democrats and other orgs floating through the crowd," writes Bil Browning at the Huffington Post.
