From grade school to college, nontraditional education is growing in popularity, according to a new study from the National Center for Education Statistics.
"There are a small handful of countries or systems that are managing to get a much larger percentage of their students over the advanced benchmark," said Jack Buckley, commissioner of the National Center for Education Statistics. "There's clearly some room for improvement."
He said the rising number of families choosing charter schools seems to be "a robust trend" and will likely continue.
