Army Sgt. Keith Wells was craving his wife's macaroni and cheese back home in Charlotte, N.C., as he spent his first Thanksgiving Day away from his family.
"My wife's a foodie -- you know, the Food Network, cooking shows. Everything she makes is golden," said Sgt. Wells as he joined other American troops at a large international military base in the Afghan capital, Kabul.
"It's been progressing here, getting better. The Afghans have taken over more missions," he said.
