It's difficult to look at Charlie Davies and not dwell on the deep scar that runs from ear to ear across the top of his skull, a reminder of the night he nearly died.
Looking back on the past 19 months, Davies readily acknowledges the poor decisions he made.

"When someone survives an accident like I did, where basically your body is in shambles and the car is split in half, you're just lucky to survive such an incident," Davies said. "But to play soccer again? That's a miracle in itself."
