For those who fear that money is hijacking soccer, that victory on the field is becoming a preserve of the wealthy, a ray of hope came this weekend from an unlikely source _ Wales.
Premier League club Arsenal on Monday posted a loss in the six months to end-November, largely on the back of reduced player revenues and lower property sales on the site of its former ground.
"They are a good team and very well organized," he said. "They don't have a lot of stars but they have pride. We have a lot of respect for them. This team is really, really strong."
