The conservative rising star Dr. Ben Carson said on a Tuesday talk show that critics won't shut him up and that among the most vicious of his attackers were white liberals.

Conservative talk show host Mark Levin blasted Sen. Harry Reid, after the senator suggested the death of seven Marines on a training exercise was due in part to the sequester.

Ronald Reagan called America a "shining city on a hill" at the first Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in 1974. Reagan believed, as the Tea Party Patriots today believe, that the "shining city on a hill" that is America is lit by the torch of liberty, passed down through the generations from America's Founding Fathers.

More than a few Republicans in the United States Senate seem to have contracted a severe case of what Harry Truman called “Potomac Fever” (wanting to go along to get along in Washington). Apparently still trembling from the recent election debacle, they have cobbled together a deceptive and destructive “bipartisan” compromise on illegal alien amnesty.

A bristling group of 25 traditional conservatives are out to protect one of their own in a new push against the "establishment Republicans" of Karl Rove's American Crossroads.

Reports of Sarah Palin's demise are almost certainly premature. Oh, sure: Mrs. Palin and Fox News recently announced an end to their increasingly strained relationship, and yes, some observers have been quick to write her political and pop culture obituary, with one writer comparing her to "a playground great who never made it to the NBA."

Reports of Sarah Palin's demise are almost certainly premature.

As was once said about Elvis Presley, former President Bill Clinton seems to be everywhere.

Serious research from the Weather Channel reveals that lousy weather on Election Day could impact turnout for a "substantial" number of voters, with the most dithering among undecided voters.

Those lawmakers had a beef: Republican Sens. John Cornyn of Texas and Charles Grassley of Iowa have celebrated their first "Meat Monday," intent on providing a savory comeuppance to the U.S. Department of Agriculture after it encouraged its employees to boycott meat on Mondays, just to be all nice and eco-conscious.

For a couple of years now, I have been talking about the Kultursmog, the utterly polluted state of our political culture. Those who pollute it are liberals. Kultursmog is the only form of pollution they approve of, but they approve of it mightily, and, of course, they are the chief contributors to its noxious fumes. Now they are using it to kill off an American value prized by millions of Americans down through the centuries: free speech. As I say in another context, we are watching the death of liberalism.

As the Republican Party hurtles toward a possible Animal House-like climax at their confab in Tampa Bay in late August, the national discussion has turned to controversial GOP conventions of the past, most missing the meaning of each and how these ideological food fights sometimes changed the face and future of the party.

For better or worse, here comes "Game Change", the big-budget HBO film dramatizing the 2008 presidential election. Because of its scheduling close to the Super Tuesday primaries, another filmmaker smells a partisan rat.

Those quarterback sacks, the excruciating tackles: Republicans are apparently more appreciative of NFL "violence" than Democrats. There's a partisan divide even when it comes to football, says a new Poll Position survey of 1,032 voters revealing that GOPers actually favor the rough stuff more than other respondents in multiple demographic categories. A quarter of all Americans say that professional football is "too violent," compared to 21 percent of Republicans and 31 percent of Democrats.

Wise businessman and presidential hopeful Herman Cain is not taking much time to bask in his Florida straw poll victory.
"It was grotesque," Mr. Levin said.
Talk show host Mark Levin blasts Sen. Harry Reid: 'Vicious stupid man' →
"The Tea Party is the only thing that stands between liberty and tyranny," said Mr. Levin. "We have to defeat the Republican establishment mush in Washington, D.C. It's time for the old bulls to get out of the way and for the fresh faces who believe in conservatism and liberty and originalist principles to step up."
